Friday evening February 11, 2022, the William & Mary Alumni Association brought together the alumni community for the first formal event held in the Hunter Hall of the newly expanded Alumni House. Fittingly, the event was the Alumni Medallion & Service Awards Ceremony to recognize the Douglas N. Morton ’62 Service Award recipients and the Alumni Medallion recipients. The event opened with a reception, followed by the award recognitions. After remarks by Executive Director Marilyn Midyette, and Chancellor Robert Gates, Midyette presented service awards to Angela A. Casolaro ’06, Shanda A. Cooper ’06, Jacqueline C. Langholtz ’05; the Young Alumni Service Awards to S. Paul Lendway ’11, Kayla N. Sharpe ’17; the 2021 Faculty/Staff Service award to Jeffrey Herrick; and Coach of the Year to Jeffrey A. Kader ’05, Men’s Tennis. Following those recognitions, Alumni Association President Anna Hatfield presented medallions to Gail Williams Wertz ’66, M.A. ’20, Thomas L. Demakes ’65, Bruce C. Holbrook ’71, P ’00, P ’01, and Michael Tang ’76, P ’13. (Skip Rowland ’83)
